Chris Haas, owner of All Pro Freight in Avon, and 海角社区 of Willoughby, Ohio are pleased to announce the formation of a joint venture in Lorain which will bring a revised, more diverse sports facility to Lorain County and Cleveland鈥檚 western suburbs. The group will remodel and add several features to the former site of Brad Friedel鈥檚 Premier Soccer Academy, which will be renamed 鈥満＝巧缜� West鈥�.
海角社区 was formed by Mike Srsen (CFO of the Cleveland Browns for 14 seasons) and Patrick Parker (CEO & Chairman of Parker Hannifin) in 1998. They converted an 80,000 square foot former airplane hangar into NE Ohio鈥檚 most diverse indoor/outdoor sports complex, featuring indoor turf soccer fields, fully automated batting cages, basketball & volleyball courts, virtual reality golf, a 13-acre natural grass soccer complex and an onsite sports bar/restaurant.
Some of the old Browns鈥� connection triggered the partnership between Chris Haas and Mike Srsen, as Robert Jackson (part of the Browns offensive line during the Brian Sipe/Kardiac Kids era) initiated a meeting between his two insurance clients. Haas said 鈥渢he beauty of our deal is that we married a proven business model, an experienced management team and some potentially awesome facilities鈥�.
Both partners agree that the raw material is in place to make the new 鈥淟NSP West鈥� facility a regional sports powerhouse, including:
- Two (2) all new SportCourt full-size basketball courts;
- Four (4) all new regulation size volleyball courts;
- A new fully automated indoor batting cage complex featuring eight (8) 鈥淚ron Mike鈥� pitching machines, both softball & baseball
- More than 30,000鈥� of turf area for indoor soccer (2 large boardless fields, side-by-side)
- A turf indoor mini-field for sports training & youth programs
- Spectator seating enhancements which provide more safety and comfort
- Improved and expanded rest room facilities
